You (should) know there is a difference between printing and publishing. We know every author has a wide choice of publishing methods available. Before you make your choice on how to publish that manuscript that means so much to you, we invite you to contact us to help clarify your options. Meanwhile, please review the following, a foundation laid by One-Hour Books in 2002, and on which try to establish all our publishing programs:

  • The books published by One-Hour Books™ shall be works of fiction or non-fiction that the average reader should be able to read in about one hour and be greatly entertained, seriously challenged, widely educated on the topic treated, and truly edified.
  • The highest standards of the publishing industry shall be maintained, including professional editing, top quality printing, financial accountability and ethical dealings with authors and others concerned.
  • Every effort will be made to ensure that the cover price of each book is as low as possible to make it affordable, without prejudice to quality, and bearing in mind attendant costs of production, administration, marketing, distributor discounts, author royalties, etc.
  • The decision to reject, suspend or accept a manuscript for publication, and the extent of editing shall be at the sole discretion of the publisher and owner of One-Hour Books™.
  • The vision and mission of One-Hour Books™ shall not be limited to, or constrained by what is written above or elsewhere, but all decisions shall be at the sole discretion of the Publisher.

One of our objectives is to expand our publishing program and also make the web site and other merchant facilities available to new authors and publishers. We wish to partner with authors, regardless of age or experience, to bring their intellectual property to the light of day with minimum delay, affordable costs and payment plans. We are happy to make writers happy.

GENERAL AND BASIC TERMS OF USE AND OPERATIONS:

One-page summaries of new manuscripts may be submitted for publication assessment through ONE-HOUR BOOKS. The one-page submission must be in MS Word, double-spaced, and must be sent as an e-mail attachment to publisher@one-hour-books.com. One of our experienced staff will promptly contact the prospective author with recommendations, draft publishing agreements, etc.
